Michiko is a highly engaging and empathetic physiotherapist with over ten years of experience in clinical, research, education, and leadership roles in rehabilitation, health care and fitness. Michiko became passionate about pelvic health physiotherapy after her own personal experience with pelvic pain. She has since dedicated her continuing education to the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction, and has advanced training in the treatment of pelvic conditions relating to all genders, including pelvic pain, incontinence, coccydynia, pregnancy-related pelvic health disorders, diastasis rectus, and erectile dysfunction. She strives to provide patient-centered care, combining the patients’ expertise of their own body with her expertise in pelvic health, ultimately helping patients achieve their goals and a better quality of life.
Michiko holds a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy as well as a Master’s of Health Science in Bioethics from the University of Toronto. She brings with her a great breadth of clinical experience, including having worked as part of the highly regarded Hand Program at Toronto Western Hospital.
